Flavio Maluf Interview with Ideamensch

Flavio Maluf is a serial business adviser. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Eucatex. He was born into a wealthy family. His family was also a political dynasty since his father was and is still a politician. He has contributed significantly to shaping business for many investors. Flavio was once hosted for an interview by Ideamensch where he shares a lot about his business ideas and personal life. He was first asked to explain where he got his idea for Eucatex. Flavio stated that his idea was brought up by his great-grandfather, Salim. He used to own one of the largest Sawmills in Latin America. The mill was initially established in 1940. Both his father and uncle agreed to use the sawmill forests in making a wood fiber lining industry in the 1960s. They named it after Eucalyptus and called it Eucatex. Eucalyptus is the type of wood that the company uses to the manufacture of its slabs which was to be used for industrial furniture equipment and civil construction products. Flavio Maluf noted that her normal day usually starts at 8.45 am and ends at 6.30 pm. He spends his day in office, four times a week. He noted that he operates under a tight schedule. He also stated that he holds weekly meetings with all the departments of the company. Flavio spends one day every week to visit a group of factories to check on their production. Flavio said that he visits the gym at 7.00 am for aerobic exercises two times a week. He then goes on Track Bike on the weekend. Ideamensh also asked Flavio Maluf to explain how he brings his ideas into reality. Maluf pointed out that he got ideas from magazines that specialized with the areas of their career. He also got some ideas from the internet. He also had to pay personal visits to the points of sales dealing with the type of products that they want to invest in. When they attained all the necessary information, they sat down with the team to make a destined decision on which one they would implement.
