Once an entrepreneur is shortlisted, they undergo a three-month training. In this training, they are given free office space as they undergo mentorship and coaching on how to grow their business. It is also an exclusive platform for networking and learning business skills that can advance them. The Factory is independent in its operations and this makes them stand out from the rest of the incubators as the Founders are responsible and accountable to themselves. They focus on the execution of innovative projects because they believe that there is a big potential in Switzerland that can be tapped into.

Mike Baur is a strong believer is conserving the ecosystem and working hard towards achieving one’s goals. Prior to starting his entrepreneurship journey, he had worked for Clariden Leu and UBS. Together with Oliver Walzer and Max Meister, Mike Baur began the Swiss Startup Factory in 2014. Mike has participated as a member of the jury for pitching contests by startups like in the University of St Gallen contest. When his company entered into a partnership with CTI, Baur became the deputy managing director.

As a leader, he has led the company into other partnerships with various companies such as Fintech Fusion. In 2016, he spearheaded the accelerator program. Even Wall Street Journal acknowledged Mike’s career change from banking to entrepreneurship. He is currently the Swiss Startup Factory Executive Chairman. His work is to fundraise and look for financing rounds for the company. He has not been robbed of his prior experience as he puts it to good use as he conducts his duties.
